How to Register a Medical Marijuana Card in Massachusetts
Step 1
To get started, you must register with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program.
Once you are registered, you will be sent an email from Virtual Gateway. This email will also contain an Medical Use Marijuana Program identification number, which will be important in the next step.

Step 2
Qualifying Condition Evaluation With A Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (eunoia)
The second step is our appointment. At eunoia, we can conveniently provide medical documentation for qualifying pre-existing conditions (documents must be dated within the last 90 days). We will conduct a psychiatric evaluation via video call for a fee of $200. Should you qualify, we will approve your certificate. If you do not qualify for an MMJ Card and eunoia elects not to sign your certificate, you will not be charged.
Once you have been certified, the Massachusetts Use of Marijuana Program will mail your medical cannabis ID card. In the meantime, you may visit a dispensary with your MMCC Certification or a temporary ID card (printable from your MMCC patient portal).

Step 1

Step 2
Once you are a certified patient, you will need to create an account on my.ny.gov.
Step 3
Once you have successfully registered, the state will provide you with a temporary medical marijuana card. This card is available online and can be accessed and printed from within your account. Your temporary card will remain valid for up to 30 days. Your official medical marijuana card should arrive in the mail anywhere from seven to ten days after your registration is complete and you have been approved. This card is valid for up to 12 months.
